Rose Mullen was born in County Galway, Ireland to parents Hugh Mullen and Mary Donahue. Although the exact dates of her birth and when her family migrated to America is not known, it is believed that her family arrived in New York sometime between 1840 and 1850. Here in America she met and married a man named Terrance Reilly and together raised four boys; John, William, Charles, and Frank. It is believed they settled somewhere in Iowa.
